This portrait features an admired friend, @beyourjoy (Insta).  It was inspired by her conscious decision to love herself & to be her own joy. Moving beyond the current standard of beauty, she doesn’t allow societal constraints to influence her feelings for herself. She is keenly aware of the crucial importance of her own inner dialogue defining her place in the world.
